Released by Grow in 1982, Master was Brazil's first trivia board game and quickly became a party classic. Instead of moving pieces with dice or cards, players advance by answering questions. Each player controls one of nine colored tokens that travel around a board made of a central circle surrounded by 36 spaces grouped in four blocks. The goal is to reach the central finish space while scoring the most correct answers. The game boasts an enormous question pool: 55 subject cards, 605 question sheets with nine questions each, totaling 5,445 items divided into nine categories – Geography, Natural History, Variety, Arts, Everyday Life, Science, Entertainment, Sports and History – all organized around the number nine, which gives the game its visual identity. The original edition offered four different play modes, using score pads and subject cards as well. In 2002 the third edition arrived with all new questions and a redesigned board that replaced the circle with a central triangle, but kept the same rules. With a weight of 1.6/5, Master is easy to learn, fast to play (about 60 minutes) and supports 2 to 8 players, making it perfect for family gatherings or parties. While the mechanics are straightforward, the massive question bank ensures variety and replayability, though the need to read and verify answers can slow the pace in very large groups.
