Get ready for a nostalgic trip back to the 90s arcades with Megablast! If you dig the vibe of classic shoot 'em up video games, this solo game is for you. Pilot your prototype spaceship and face hordes of aliens devastating the galaxy. Your mission? Destroy all their motherships to save the universe!
Megablast is a deck-building game where you upgrade your ship with every enemy taken down. By defeating waves of aliens, you add upgrades directly to the top of your deck. The trick is to balance your cards well between weapons, engines, and tech systems to survive. And the best part: no deck shuffling! This allows you to plan devastating combos and manipulate your deck to unleash full power against the end-of-level bosses.
The game is divided into three levels, each with four waves of enemies and a final boss. Aliens descend on a 4x3 grid towards your ship, and you need to maneuver to dodge fire and annihilate them. Besides enemies, you'll face asteroids and other cosmic hazards. Each level grants a type of upgrade, and defeating a boss gives you access to even better cards for the next stage. Use your cards to attack, move, defend, and draw more, setting up clever strategies to emerge victorious. If your ship is destroyed, the game ends, so every decision counts!
