About the game
What you do in a play session
Get your machines ready, because the gold rush is on! In Mining Frenzy, you pilot mining robots in a frantic search for treasures hidden within three distinct mines. The goal is straightforward but the execution requires strategy: you must dig until you find the valuable 'Pay Dirt', but the path is far from easy. Each mine operates as its own deck, with rewards and hazards distributed at various depths. While the shallower mines offer Epic Tools, the deepest mine hides the greatest riches, protected by layers of magma that can only be cleared using special coolant cards.
The real challenge lies in your hand management. To progress, you'll need to spend Drill, Shovel, and Special Tool cards to clear obstacles like rocks, dirt, and sludge. If you're reckless and lack the right tool for the obstacle ahead, your turn ends immediately, leaving the mine open for the next competitor to swoop in and claim your hard work. It's a constant balance of risk and reward: do you spend your cards now to secure immediate gold, or save your tools for a deeper, more lucrative excavation?
With a massive amount of components—282 cards in total, including three unique mine decks and a vast library of tools—the game offers a highly engaging experience. The first player to amass 100 gold wins the title of master miner. It's a fast-paced game, perfect for players who enjoy making critical decisions with every card revealed, balancing deck luck with the tactical management of their toolset.
