How to Play Munchkin Reindeer Games

Preparation (Setup)

This booster can only be used with the Munchkin base set, or with as many expansions as you like. However, the more expansions you use, the more you dilute the special interactions of this set (especially the Santa monsters). To improve your chances of seeing the special cards from this set, leave them out of each deck while you shuffle the rest of the cards. Then, take about an inch of cards from the Door deck, shuffle the Reindeer Games Door cards into that pile (along with the Waiting for Santa and Santa’s Revenge cards, if you have those boosters) and place the pile back on top of the Door deck. Do the same with the Treasure cards.

Actions and How to Play

Santa Monsters

The monsters in this set, as well as those from Waiting for Santa and Santa’s Revenge, are all marked as Santa monsters. Whenever a Santa monster is in combat, any player can play another Santa monster to help it without using a Wandering Monster card.

If you own Unnatural Axe, then the Santa from that set is also a Santa monster. You can take the Santa from your Unnatural Axe set and add it to this one, if you wish (and we think you should), regardless of whether or not you use the rest of Unnatural Axe.

Tips for Winning

• To improve your chances of seeing the special Reindeer Games cards, leave them out of the Door and Treasure decks while shuffling the rest of the cards. Then, shuffle the Reindeer Games cards into the top of each deck.
• Take advantage of the Santa monsters' ability: any player can play another Santa monster to help in combat without using a Wandering Monster card. This can be a great way to increase the power of monsters in combat.
