Pack & Stack puts you and the crew behind the wheel of hungry cargo trucks. Each round kicks off with a dice roll that hands out a random assortment of wooden blocks of different sizes – think of them as the goods you need to load. Then every player simultaneously picks one or two face‑down trucks; the number of trucks available depends on the player count. When the trucks are revealed, the race against the clock begins: you have only a few seconds to gauge each truck's interior space (the base outlines and a height limit are printed on the bed) and decide which one best fits your cargo.
The fun lies in stacking the blocks inside the 3‑D volume of the truck, trying to eliminate as many empty spaces as possible. If the truck is larger than your load, you pay 1 point for each unused space; if it’s too small and some pieces don’t fit, the penalty jumps to 2 points per piece left out. The player who ends the round with the lowest penalty scores a 10‑point bonus. Rounds continue until someone runs out of points – the player with the most points at the end wins.
Even though the mechanics are straightforward – dice rolling, simultaneous selection and rapid stacking – the game demands good spatial awareness and quick decision‑making. It works best with 3‑6 players, lasts about 30‑45 minutes, and has a very low learning curve, making it perfect for anyone who enjoys a fast, tactile puzzle without getting bogged down in heavy rules.
