About the game
What you do in a play session
Pax Playground reimagines the political complexity of Pax games through a lighthearted lens: the school playground. You’re the new kid trying to fit in, but every choice impacts friendships and self-identity. On your turn, pick from three actions: play a card to sway peers, 'love' a card to bond with a favorite toy, or throw a tantrum to grab a card from the display. The game ends when someone exhausts their Imagination cards. To win, you’ll need to make friends (matching the playground’s favorite toy) and stay true to yourself (your Identity card’s statement must hold at game’s end). With shifting alliances and clever hand management, each game is a tightrope walk between popularity and authenticity.
