Rise: Demons is an expansion to a solo paper-and-pencil game where you, the Guardian, try to spread evil across the realm. In this new edition, the gate to chaos opens wider, bringing a horde of demons with unique powers and rooms that shift the course of your strategy. Among the additions are units like the Haunted Dolls, Imps, Clown, and surprisingly, Lawyers—each with abilities that can turn the tide in your favor or against you. The rooms, such as the Circus, Dollhouse, and Infernal Court, offer fresh action opportunities: sue adventurers, gain resources, or even summon unexpected allies. The highlight, however, are the Monarchic Satyrs—real demon lords that require effort to summon but, once on the board, reveal game‑changing abilities. The challenge remains solo, but complexity rises: you must manage your cards, plan each move, and keep sanity in the face of powers that defy logic. The expansion brings no physical components; everything is done on paper, necessitating a good sheet of paper and a pen. If you already know the original Rise and are ready to dive deeper into the plot, this expansion offers new layers of strategy, narrative, and, of course, an invitation to forge a pact with the devil. Get ready to see if your cunning is enough to master these new demons and conquer the dark world that awaits.
