About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to boost your survival efforts on the Cursed Island! The 'Crewmen Deck I' brings six brand-new characters to give you a helping hand (or perhaps just a strategic distraction) in your fight against nature. These folks don't count as extra players but are great for easing the burden in tougher scenarios, each with their own quirks and special abilities.
Meet the Artist and the Old Cook, who require shelter to avoid nighttime hardships and affect morale and food in unique ways. The Pilgrim, immune to everything, can grant you a life-saving re-roll on action dice once per round. The Quartermaster supercharges your starting items, allowing four uses instead of two – and is also bulletproof. The Sawbones, who has a short lifespan and is affected by weather, helps boost morale when healing wounds. Meanwhile, the Tribesman, also immune to everything, allows the hunting deck to be played face-up, aiding in planning.
Remember: these crew members are a bonus; they don't increase the building costs for shelter or palisades. They are an extra resource to help you overcome the increasingly difficult challenges that Robinson Crusoe throws your way. If you already enjoy the tension and difficulty of the base game, this expansion adds more flavor and tactical options without altering the core of the challenging cooperative experience.
