Picture yourself as the owner of a furniture shop that opens its doors and you, along with the crew, dive into the mission of building the dream house. But the fun isn’t just about picking the perfect sofa: in the corner café, new roommates (roomies) are waiting to move in, each with their own specific requests. Over four days, you become the real ‘furnisher’ of the crew. Each day starts with the shopping phase: you roll through the store, grab furniture tiles and load them into your truck. If you wish, you can also bring a roomie from the café, but remember: each one has unique desires. Then, in the decorating phase, you place tiles in your home, trying to meet the roommates’ demands. When the clock strikes, the game ends and you tally the points: the one who makes the happiest room scores the most. The game blends grid coverage, modular board, open drafting, rondel, set collection, and tile placement mechanics, creating a light and fun strategic vibe. If you love building things, planning ahead, and watching your “roomies” react as everything fits together, Rooms & Roomies is the perfect pick. The playtime is quick (30‑75 minutes), supports 1‑5 players, and works as a great warm‑up or a weekend game with friends.
