About the game
What you do in a play session
The AT‑RT expansion for Star Wars: Legion brings a new combat vehicle to your table: the All‑Terrain Recon Transport, or AT‑RT, originally created by the Republic during the Clone Wars and later adopted by the Rebel Alliance. The AT‑RT blends speed and versatility: it has lighter armor than traditional walkers, can climb low walls and navigate obstacles that block heavier units. In game, the miniature comes with three front‑socket weapons, letting you choose between precision rifles, plasma cannons, or missile launchers depending on the mission at hand. Alongside the miniature, you receive the AT‑RT unit, a set of upgrade cards, and a battle‑card deck that adds new tactics to your army. The expansion works seamlessly with the core game, requiring only that you already own the base set to use the new cards and miniature. If you like giving the Alliance an edge over the Empire, the AT‑RT offers a fast attack and support option, as well as expanding the strategic options your army can employ. In terms of components, the expansion is compact: just one miniature, upgrade cards, and a battle deck, but its presence on the board can shift the course of a game in a few turns. The Action‑Points mechanic remains in play, but you now have more action choices thanks to interchangeable weapons. If you’ve already invested in Star Wars: Legion, the AT‑RT is a worthwhile upgrade, adding variety without demanding much preparation time. In short, the AT‑RT expansion is a solid addition for anyone wanting more mobility and combat options for their Rebel army, while preserving the fun and tension typical of the Star Wars universe.
