In Suburbia Inc, you take on the role of a city planner whose borough has decided to incorporate. Your goal is to optimize your town's income and reputation. You achieve this by building powerful new buildings, defining unique Borders to gain specific benefits, and completing mid-game goals through Bonuses and Challenges.

Setup

To set up the expansion, ensure you have the Suburbia base game ready, as this is an expansion. The following components from Suburbia Inc are added to the game:

• 1 Stacks board.
• Building tiles: 10 A tiles, 10 B tiles, and 6 C tiles.
• 10 Bonus tiles.
• 10 Challenge tiles.
• 12 Border tiles.
• 5 Goal tiles.

Actions and How to Play

Players can expand their town and optimize their city planning using the following elements:

Building and Borders

Players can build new, powerful buildings to improve their income and reputation. Additionally, players can place Border tiles, which provide various benefits upon placement and based on adjacent tiles. Examples of Border tiles effects include:

• Financial Benefits: Some Border tiles provide money when placed or provide $8 for each adjacent specific tile types.
• Costs and Penalties: Certain Border tiles require the player to pay $10 to the supply when the Border tile is placed or when a specific tile is placed next to it.
• Population Requirements: Some Border tiles require the removal of population (7 per adjacent tile) when the Border tile is placed or when a tile is placed adjacent to it.
• Adjacency Bonuses: Many Border tiles grant benefits based on the specific types of tiles adjacent to them.
