How to Play Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza

Game Objective

The objective of "Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza" is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards. To do this, you need to be quick to slap the central pile of cards whenever there is a Match (when a played card matches the word spoken) or when a special card appears.

Preparation (Setup)

1. Shuffle all the cards.
2. Deal the cards among the players, face down, as follows:
   • 2 to 5 players: 12 cards
   • 6 players: 10 cards
   • 7 players: 9 cards
   • 8 players: 8 cards
3. Unused cards are returned to the box.
4. With the cards received, without looking at them, each player forms a draw pile in front of them, face down.

Gameplay Flow

The person to the left of the dealer starts the game. The game proceeds in turns clockwise.

On their turn, a player plays a card from their draw pile into the center of the table, face up, while saying one of the words in the sequence: "Taco", "Cat", "Goat", "Cheese", "Pizza". The sequence of words repeats continuously ("Taco", "Cat", "Goat", "Cheese", "Pizza", "Taco", "Cat", "Goat", "Cheese", "Pizza", etc.).

The game continues this way until one of the following situations occurs:

• Match: The card that was just played matches the word spoken by a player (for example, they played a 'Pizza' card while saying "Pizza").
• Special card: A special card is revealed.

When one of these situations occurs, all players must react immediately:

• If it's a Match: All players must slap their hand on top of the card pile in the center of the table. The last player to slap takes the entire central pile and places those cards at the bottom of their draw pile.
• If it's a special card: All players must complete the specific action of the special card and then slap the central pile. If a player performs the wrong action or is the last to slap the pile, they must take all the cards.

After a Match or a special card, the player who took the central pile starts the next round, placing a card in the center of the table and saying "Taco". The next player will say "Cat", and so on, until a new Match or special card occurs.

If a player has played all their cards, they continue to say the words ("Taco", "Cat", "Goat" etc.) on their turn and must still slap the central pile when there is a Match or if a special card appears.

Actions and How to Play

The game involves the following actions and rules:

• Play a card: On their turn, a player takes the top card from their draw pile and plays it into the center of the table, face up.
• Say the word: While playing the card, the player must say the next word in the sequence "Taco", "Cat", "Goat", "Cheese", "Pizza".
• Slap the central pile: When a Match occurs or a special card is revealed, all players must slap their hand on the central pile. The last to slap takes the pile.
• Special Card Actions:
  • Gorilla: Everyone beats their hands, with closed fists, on their chest.
  • Groundhog: Everyone beats their hands, with closed fists, on the table.
  • Narwhal: Everyone claps once above their head to represent a horn.
• Penalties:
  • Hesitation: If a player slaps incorrectly or makes a motion to slap but withdraws their hand, they must take all the cards from the central pile and the round ends.
  • Breaking the Rhythm: If a player breaks the rhythm (forgetting what to say or not realizing it's their turn), they must take the cards from the central pile and the round ends.
  • Peeking at cards: If a player clearly looks at their card before opening it for everyone on the pile, they must take all the cards from the central pile and the round ends.
  • Wrong special card action: If a player performs the wrong action for a special card or is the last to slap the pile, they must take all the cards.

End of Game and Scoring

The game ends when a player with no cards left is the first to correctly slap a Match or special card. That player wins the game.

• Maintain a fast and constant pace in the game to avoid penalties and taking the central pile.
• Always be attentive to Matches and special cards to be the first to react and slap the central pile.
