About the game
The Agents: Break the Rules arrives as a mega‑expansion that literally tells you to toss the rulebook out the window. Its core consists of three fresh decks – Break‑The‑Rules, Commanders and Sites – which are shuffled into the game at the start, creating unique conditions each playthrough and making every session more unpredictable and, let’s face it, more dangerous. Break‑The‑Rules cards let you tweak the base rules, such as changing scoring methods or altering how you draw cards, ensuring no two duels feel the same. The Commanders deck hands each player a special agent before the game begins; each commander grants a permanent perk that can swing the game in your favor, like extra resources or the ability to block opponents’ actions. Finally, the Sites deck drops different board locations that affect all players, adding environmental effects that can help or hinder. All of this meshes neatly with the hand‑management mechanic, as you must decide when to unleash rule‑bending cards or hold onto resources for the right moment. The game retains The Agents' quick 30‑minute playtime while adding strategic depth through the new options. Perfect for 2‑5 players who enjoy light, thematic games packed with twists and don’t mind learning a few new rules each session.
