About the game
What you do in a play session
The Game of Life: Elf is a festive holiday version of the classic Game of Life, inspired by the Will Ferrell movie. Here, you become one of Santa's helper elves tasked with spreading Christmas cheer throughout New York City! Instead of traditional cars, you use miniature sleighs, and your pawns are adorable plastic elves. The goal? Spin the spinner and move across the colorful board, visiting iconic locations from the movie like Gimbel's Toy Store and the World's Best Cup of Coffee shop. Along the way, you collect toys, enjoy sweet treats (including the famous maple syrup spaghetti!), and make choices that affect your 'Clausometer' - the Christmas spirit meter. Whoever accumulates the most Christmas cheer wins! The game keeps the original's simplicity, perfect for kids aged 6+, but with so many movie references that adult fans of the comedy will have fun too. Components are well made, especially the thematic spinner and elf-shaped pawns that add extra charm to the experience. Plays in about 30 minutes - the perfect length to keep kids engaged without tiring them out.

Not necessary, but knowing the movie makes it much funnier! There are lots of hidden jokes and references.
Are the components good quality?
Yes! The spinner works well, the elf pawns are adorable, and the board is colorful and durable.
Is there much reading required?
Barely any! Great for kids learning to read - just a few simple words on event cards.
