About the game
What you do in a play session
You know that feeling when you think you've finally mastered the board, and then everything goes sideways? That is exactly what Fearsome Fog brings to the table. If you're a fan of The Last Lighthouse, get ready to face a thick,-unpredictable-mist that turns your survival-driven strategy into a frantic scramble for clarity.
The expansion introduces four unique Fog cards that sit atop the starting sea. They remain face-down, acting as a looming threat that you can't quite see through. The only way to clear them is to defeat a Nightmare lurking underneath. Once a Nightmare is gone, the Fog card is revealed, triggering a unique-and-often-chaotic effect. We're talking about-rearranging your Traps and Nightmares, potentially wrecking the carefully laid plans you spent turns building.
There's a ticking clock element here too: you must discard all Fog cards before the game ends. If you fail to clear the mist, the Nightmares win, and you're left in the dark. It's a small-scale expansion, but it adds a massive layer of tension and-let's be honest-a healthy dose of paranoia. It's perfect for players who want to increase the difficulty and add a layer of unpredictable-chaos to their solo sessions. It turns a tactical survival game into a true battle against the unknown!
