Step by step
Objective of the Game
In Thunder Road: Vendetta – Big Rig and the Final Five, players take on the roles of racing crews in a high-octane, post-apocalyptic battle for survival. The game ends when a crew is eliminated, and the surviving crew is declared the winner.

Flow of the Game
The game progresses in turns, with each player following these steps:
- Assign a movement die to a command or motorcycle.
- Activate the assigned command (if applicable).
- Move your vehicle(s) according to the die value.
- Shoot at targets within your vehicle’s arc.
For the Big Rig, players must also assign a die to the Hydraulic Steering command at the start of each round to determine lane changes. The Final Five assigns dice to two motorcycles each turn, with the option to assign one die to a command once per round.
Actions and How to Play
Players can perform the following actions:
- Assign Dice: Assign movement dice to commands or motorcycles. The die value determines movement or activates specific abilities.
- Activate Commands: Use commands like Missile Launcher, Hazard Dispenser, or Airstrike to gain tactical advantages.
- Move: Move your vehicle(s) forward or change lanes using Hydraulic Steering (for the Big Rig) or drift through other vehicles (for motorcycles).
- Shoot: Attack targets in your vehicle’s front or rear arc using the shooting die.

End of Game and Scoring
The game ends when a crew is eliminated. Elimination occurs if:
- The Big Rig accumulates 6 minor damage tokens or is completely dumped off the rear road tile.
- All Final Five motorcycles are inoperable.
The surviving crew wins the game. There is no scoring system; victory is determined solely by elimination.
Tips for Winning
Here are some strategies to help you dominate the race:
- Use the Big Rig’s Hydraulic Steering wisely to avoid obstacles and position yourself for attacks.
- For the Final Five, assign dice strategically to balance movement and command activation, especially the Airstrike command.
- Take advantage of the Big Rig’s Sturdy and Dependable traits to minimize damage and turn hazardous spaces into off-road areas.
