About the game
Touché is a fast, lightweight card game that blends placement strategy with a dash of visual logic. Each player draws a hand from a standard double deck, jokers included. The board displays card images—two of each—and a few wild spaces arranged in a cross pattern. On your turn you play a card from your hand and place a marker of your colour on a matching space on the board. The goal is to claim spaces that form specific patterns: boxes, lines, crosses or tees. When you complete a pattern you cap your markers with black pieces to show the set is sealed and can’t be used again. The first player to complete the required number of patterns wins. A typical game lasts about 30 minutes, supports 2‑6 players, and has an almost non‑existent learning curve, making it perfect for a quick yet mentally engaging session. Components are minimal – cards and coloured markers – and the matching mechanic creates a “try‑your‑luck” vibe that appeals to families and friend groups alike. While the rules are simple, the need to plan marker placement to block opponents adds a tactical layer that keeps the game lively right up to the final move.
