Get ready for a heist of bluffing and risk in TROLL, a souped-up version of the classic Dragon Teeth Washer! Published by Oink Games in 2015, this game casts you as a daring thief with one goal: to pilfer the shiniest jewels from a rather hideous troll. Each player starts with a set of tokens numbered 0 to 5, and depending on how many scoundrels are at the table, some troll cards (valued from 3 to 15) are left out. The game kicks off with the first player secretly peeking at the current troll card and playing a token representing the value they intend to steal. The next players in line have two options: either peek at the troll and play a token face-up, or play a token face-down and grab a x2 multiplier to boost their haul! Once everyone has played their tokens, the reveal is nail-biting. The sum of the played tokens is compared to the troll's value. Whoever played the lowest value starts receiving their jewels, but beware! If the sum of the played tokens exceeds the troll's value, the player who caused the overflow (i.e., made the sum go over) gets a penalty and wakes the troll. The player who accumulates the most jewels by the end of the rounds (the number of rounds varies with the player count) is crowned the king of thieves! It's a fast-paced game, packed with tension and that sprinkle of luck that makes you want to play again and again.
