Hey everyone! Ready to face Ragnarok? In Yggdrasil, you step into the boots of Norse gods themselves – Odin, Thor, Tyr, Frey, Heimdall, and Freya – in an epic battle to save the world from destruction! The Yggdrasil tree is under attack by the forces of evil, including the wolf Fenrir, the serpent Jormungand, the fire giant Surt, and even the treacherous Loki. They are advancing on Asgard, and chaos is imminent.
The vibe here is totally cooperative: either you all win together, or you all lose. Each turn, a god (that's you!) draws an enemy card, which advances on the board and triggers a sinister effect. Then, with your 3 action points, you have to be smart! You can ask for the Elves' help, forge weapons with the Dwarves, send Valkyries to fetch souls from Midgard, gather magic runes, deal with fire giants invading the mortal world, rescue souls from Hel's underworld, exchange favors with other gods, or directly confront enemies in Asgard.
Each god has a special power that can give you that edge at the right moment. To emerge victorious, cleverness, calmness, and, of course, teamwork are essential. Yggdrasil is a challenge that tests coordination and joint decision-making, all wrapped up in a respectable Norse theme. If you enjoy games where the group unites against the board, this is a sure bet!
