Step by step

1. Game Objective

Murder of Crowz introduces a new threat to the Zombicide universe: infected crows. After feeding on contaminated remains, these animals have become extremely dangerous flying zombie creatures. The players' goal is to survive these pests, which, due to their small size and agility, can pass through windows, roofs, walls, and broken doors to reach their victims.

2. Setup

Consult the manual for details on this section.

3. Game Flow

During the Zombie Phase, Murders of Crows follow specific activation rules:

  • Target Definition: Before moving, define the target Zone for the group. If it is necessary to split the group to determine the target, do so, but no further splitting may occur during movement.
  • Movement: They move up to 3 Zones per Activation to reach the defined target. They do not change their course if a new target appears along the way.
  • Actions: Murders of Crows have only one Action per Activation, which can be used to move or attack.
  • Ignoring Obstacles: As flying creatures, they ignore all obstacles that prevent or hinder movement, including barricades, closed doors, Hole Zones, watchtowers, and walls. They also ignore game effects that prevent staying in a Zone, such as Rubble or Security Zones.

4. Actions and How to Play

Murders of Crows operate under the following guidelines:

  • Targeting Priority: They have the same Targeting Priority level as Toxic Walkers (level 2 on the priority table).
  • Damage: Only 1 Damage is required to destroy a group of Murders of Crows.
  • Experience: Eliminating a group of Murders of Crows grants 1 Experience Point.

5. End of Game and Scoring

Consult the manual for details on this section.

6. Tips for Winning

  • Be prepared for speed: No one understands how quickly they move until they face them. Remember that they can travel up to 3 Zones in a single Activation.
  • Do not rely on physical barriers: Walls, closed doors, and rubble do not stop the advance of Murders of Crows. Plan your defense knowing that they ignore obstacles that would normally stop other zombies.
