About the game

What you do in a play session

If you’ve already dived into the world of Zombicide, you know the adrenaline rush that comes from trying to survive hordes of ravenous zombies. The "Special Guest Box – Adrian Smith" brings two new survivor figures, Padre Johnson and Bones, along with their zombivore counterparts, all designed by the British artist Adrian Smith, who’s worked with Games Workshop and even done comics for Pat Mills. Each character comes with action tiles, skill cards, and a detailed miniature that will bring your board to life.

Padre Johnson is the type of survivor who still carries faith, but with the adrenaline of someone who’s seen the end of the world. He’s armed with shotguns and a prayer that can be used to heal or attract zombies. Bones, on the other hand, is the metal guitarist who now composes hymns of death and liberation. His "acoustic" style can be used to distract hordes or trigger area‑damage special abilities.

The pack works exactly like the base game: each player receives action points and can use action cards, roll dice to attack or move, and take advantage of hand management to decide when to play each resource. The board remains modular, so you can set up different scenarios each game, but now with the new figures and cards the dynamic becomes even more tense. The "Variable Player Powers" mechanics allow each survivor to have a set of abilities that fit distinct strategies, making cooperation even more creative.

In addition, the expansion offers new types of zombivores that challenge the team with unique attacks, such as zombies that feed on electrical power or can split into multiple enemies. That means even in short 60‑minute sessions you’ll feel that every decision matters. If you love detailed miniatures, a good cooperative challenge, and survivor stories that aren’t shy of humor, this special box is what your table needs. Load your weapons, sharpen your wit, and fight the horde with style.

With 30 action cards, 10 skill cards, and two survivor miniatures, the expansion offers over 40 game pieces. Each miniature comes with a set of accessories, such as shotguns, ropes, and metal instruments, that you can use to tailor your strategy. Action cards allow reach moves, area attacks, and even distraction tricks that shift the pace of combat.

The expansion is compatible with the base game, so you can use the same modular boards and zombie tiles. If you already have the base, just swap two figures for their zombivore counterparts and add the cards to your deck. If you don’t have it yet, the expansion works as a 60‑minute mini‑game that can be played on any 4–6 player board.
