6 nimmt! Plus — How to Play

Game Objective

The objective of the game Take 6!: Plus is to accumulate the most cards and bull heads, with each counting as 1 positive point. The player who accumulates the most points by the end of all rounds wins. All original rules of the game are maintained, except for the changes detailed in the manual.

Setup

To begin, shuffle all the cards and place four of them in the center of the table, forming the four initial rows. Shuffle the seven "0" cards among the remaining cards and deal 15 cards to each player. One of the players should grab paper and a pen to keep score.

Game Flow

Each player selects one or two cards from their hand and places them face down on the table. Once everyone has chosen, the cards are revealed simultaneously. The player with the lowest-value card places their card in one of the rows first, followed by the player with the second lowest card, and so on. If a player chooses two cards, they will place them one after the other.

The goal is to place the sixth card in a row, as this allows you to take all five cards from the row and start a new row with the sixth card.

Actions and How to Play

Change in Rule 4: Low Card

If the chosen card has a value too low to be placed in any row, it must be placed at the end of the row with the highest number. The player does not take any cards, except if this card is the sixth in the row.

The Bull Stack (Positive Points)

Every time a player takes a row, they place the cards in their bull stack face up. Cards taken from the rows never return to the player's hand.

The "0" Cards

The "0" cards are special. If a player chooses a numbered card along with a "0" card, the numbered card is placed first, regardless of its value. The "0" card is not placed and goes directly to the player's point stack. If the "0" card is the only one chosen, it goes directly to the point stack without any special function.

End of Game and Scoring

The game ends when all players have played all the cards from their hands. After the game ends, each player counts the number of bull heads in their stack and records the points. As many rounds are played as there are players. The player with the most points at the end of all rounds wins.

Tips to Win

• Consecutive Numbers: If you have a card with a value immediately following the fifth card in a row, play it to take the row.
• "0" Card: Use it strategically to place your card first and take rows before other players.
• Pairs: Keep cards with sequential values (pairs) in your hand and use them at opportune moments to take rows.
