If you've played Catan, you'll feel right at home, but be warned: the North is unforgiving! In Brotherhood of the Watch, you and your friends are Brothers of the Night's Watch competing to prove who deserves to be the new Lord Commander. Your goal is to improve the infrastructure of the Gift, building roads, settlements, and keeps using the five classic resources (lumber, brick, wool, grain, and ore). But it's not just about building; you need renown and victory points to climb the ranks.
The big twist here is that you aren't alone on the map. While trying to expand, you must recruit guards to defend the Wall. Why? Because the Wildlings are coming! If the defense fails, they invade the Gift and pillage your constructions. To make matters worse, Tormund Giantsbane roams around stealing resources, and Giants can cause your guards to desert their posts. It's a tense balance between investing in your own growth and ensuring the Wall doesn't fall.
To give you a boost, each player starts with an iconic hero (like Jeor Mormont or Samwell Tarly) with unique abilities that can be used strategically. If you are fast and efficient, you win by reaching 10 victory points. However, be careful: if the Wildlings breach the Wall three times, the game ends immediately, and the player with the most guards on the Wall takes command. It's survival of the fittest (or the luckiest with the dice). Can you keep the Wall standing while building your empire in the ice, or will winter take everything?

The complexity is similar, but resource management is tighter because you must spend to defend the Wall.
How many people can play?
The game is designed for 3 to 4 players.
How long does a game last?
Usually between 60 and 75 minutes, depending on how much time you spend negotiating.
Are the miniatures good?
Yes, they are a major highlight and make the table look much more epic than standard plastic pawns.
