About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to expand your horizons in Age of Steam with the Moon and Berlin Wall pack! This gem brings two expansions that were previously released in limited editions, but are now accessible to more train fans. The "Moon" expansion (which first appeared back in 2005) turns the game upside down with a spherical board, where you can build tracks off the edges and they connect on the opposite side. It's like playing in space! And to complete the lunar journey, the moon phases (day and night) directly influence the gameplay. The "Engineer" and "Low Gravitation" actions bring new strategic possibilities, allowing you to build more tracks or use other players' tracks. The "Berlin Wall" expansion (from 2008) adds a Cold War touch to your Age of Steam. A new engineer action allows building or removing red tracks, representing barriers. Delivering goods between east and west only happens through gaps in the wall, and the movement of cubes representing armies (Soviet vs. Allies) is restricted until a certain point in the game. When the restrictions fall, it's time to speed up! If you have the main Age of Steam box, this expansion is perfect, as the packaging was designed to hold multiple maps. It's quite an upgrade for those who already enjoy the base game and want more challenges and unique scenarios.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
Do I need the base Age of Steam game to play?
Yes, absolutely! This is an expansion, so you need to own the original Age of Steam to use these new maps and rules.
How many players can enjoy this expansion?
Just like the base game, this expansion supports 2 to 6 players. Get your group ready for another epic match!
Does the game time change with these expansions?
The estimated playtime is 120 minutes, the same as the base game. However, with these new mechanics, games might run a bit longer depending on the group.
Is it much harder than the regular Age of Steam?
The weight on BGG is 3.83, slightly higher than the base game. The new rules, like the spherical board and the wall restrictions, add layers of complexity that require adaptation.
What are the main components included in this pack?
You'll find new boards (a spherical one and the Berlin Wall board), red track markers, and other components for the new mechanics, plus a rulebook.
Is it worth it for someone who doesn't play Age of Steam frequently?
If you enjoy complex strategy games and have the patience to learn the rules, it can be an interesting experience. However, it's more recommended for those who already master the base game and are looking for an extra challenge.
