If you ever felt the original Agra could use a bit more competitive spice for influence and new strategic options, this mini-expansion is for you! Released as part of the renowned 2018 Brettspiel Adventskalender advent calendar, it introduces two types of components that add extra flavor without drastically altering the core experience.
First up are the "Building Bonus Tiles." During initial setup, these are sorted into two groups: those that grant guild influence and those that don't. Two of each type are randomly drawn for each building level on the main board, ensuring all guilds have at least one influence tile present. This adds an extra layer of competition for these areas, making the choice of where to build even more critical.
Then we have the "Favour Tiles." These are 11 different tiles that offer new ways to gain advantages or achieve objectives, adding more variety and replayability. They integrate seamlessly with the base game, without introducing overly complex rules. Language is not a barrier here, as the tiles are visually intuitive, and the rules are easy to incorporate. It's a small expansion, but it makes a noticeable difference for those who enjoy Agra's strategic depth and interaction.

Do I need the base game Agra to play this expansion?
Yes, absolutely! This is a mini-expansion, so all additional components and rules depend on the base game Agra to be used.
What is the average playtime with this expansion?
The expansion adds very little setup time and no significant rule complexity. The playtime should remain similar to the base game, between 90 and 120 minutes.
Does this expansion add much complexity to the original Agra?
No, the idea is precisely to add more options and interactions without overwhelming the player. The new tiles integrate smoothly with the existing mechanics.
How many players does this expansion support?
Just like the base game, this mini-expansion is for 2 to 4 players.
Is this expansion hard to find?
As it was a promotional item from an advent calendar, it might be a bit harder to find in regular stores. It's worth looking in secondary markets or specific game promotions.
Is it worth it for someone who already likes Agra?
If you enjoy the influence competition and are looking for a bit more variety and strategy, then yes! It refines the experience without radically changing the game.
