In ALIEN: Fate of the Nostromo, you and your friends dive headfirst into the roles of the iconic Nostromo crew members – Ripley, Lambert, Parker, Brett, or Dallas. The objective is simple yet terrifying: survive! Throughout the game, the team must collect scrap, craft essential items, and complete a series of objectives to ensure everyone's safety. But beware, crew morale is a crucial factor; it can soar or plummet depending on encounters with the Xenomorph and other unpleasant surprises. If morale hits zero, it's game over for everyone.
Each round is divided into two tense phases. In the Crew Action phase, players creep through the Nostromo's halls, searching for scrap, crafting vital items, trading resources with colleagues, and using their special abilities. For example, Brett is a crafting ace, needing less scrap to create items. If the Alien is nearby and someone has the incinerator, it's a chance to send it back to its nest! Then comes the Encounter phase, where a card is revealed, bringing a new challenge or the dreaded appearance of the Alien, which could be lurking in any dark corner of the ship.
After completing the initial objectives, the crew faces one of five final missions, each with its own complex requirements. Victory is only achieved if all final mission requirements are met simultaneously. And if you're looking for an even greater challenge, you can introduce Science Officer Ash, who not only removes scrap but also undermines crew morale. Prepare for a tense cooperative survival experience full of difficult decisions!
