About the game
In Alphabet Soup, get ready for a vocabulary duel where the goal is to form words with letter cards to collect points. Your mission is simple: be the word master and achieve the highest score! The game challenges you to stretch your linguistic repertoire, creating longer words to maximize your score. Points are earned by spelling words that match or exceed the value of the available scoring tokens, and, of course, by challenging your opponents at just the right moment.

On your turn, you have three options: play a card, pass, or challenge. Playing a card is easy: take one from your hand and place it next to a card already on the table. You can rotate the card 180 degrees before placing it, and it can go at either end of the card row or between two existing cards. If you decide to pass, discard up to three cards from your hand and draw the same number of new cards. Challenging only happens if there are four or more cards in the row on the table. You challenge the player who played the last card (you cannot challenge yourself!). That player then draws a card and can play as many cards as they want from their hand to try to score. Scoring occurs at the end of a turn where you play cards. If you've spelled a word that matches or exceeds the number on a scoring token, it's yours! The game ends when all scoring tokens have been taken, and the player with the highest score wins. Ready to dive into this alphabet soup?
