About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a race against time in Antidote! You and your fellow scientists have been infected by a deadly toxin, and the only way out is to discover the antidote before it's too late. Embark on this deduction and hand management game where every decision counts.

The twist here is that each round, you don't choose what *you* do, but rather what *all the other* players will do: discard cards or trade research. It sounds simple, but the complexity arises from the need to decipher which element card has been removed from the game – that's your cure!

Antidote shines in its ability to keep everyone engaged all the time. With simultaneous action selection, no one is left waiting for their turn. The tension builds because the game's pace is set by yourselves: whoever thinks they know the answer can speed up the end, but be careful not to rush too much!

The player interaction is a show in itself. A glance, a nod, a card trade can reveal a lot (or almost nothing, depending on your poker face!). The most exciting part is the surprise ending: rarely will anyone be 100% certain about the antidote, making the reveal a moment of pure adrenaline. If you get it right, you live to play again. If you get it wrong... well, science has its risks, right? But the fun goes on!

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you buy

6 questions
What is the average playtime for Antidote?
Games are quite fast, usually between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on how many players are trying to figure out the antidote right away!
How many players can play?
Antidote works well with 2 to 7 players. The more people, the more chaotic and fun the game becomes!
Is the game difficult to learn?
Not at all! The rules are super simple and quick to grasp. The challenge lies in the deduction and interactions, not in rule complexity.
Do I need to speak English to play?
The text on the cards is minimal and easy to memorize, so language dependency is very low. You can play it comfortably.
Is it a cooperative game?
It's semi-cooperative. You need others' help to deduce the antidote, but ultimately, only one player (or no one!) will be the winner. You live or die alone!
Who is Antidote recommended for?
It's perfect for those who enjoy quick deduction games with a touch of bluffing and lots of interaction. Great for warming up or closing a game night!
