Arena: The Contest – Tanares Adventures delivers the content explosion you expected from the series, boasting over 40 miniatures and 70 distinct villains that guarantee more than 100 hours of cooperative campaign play. The expansion introduces an additional Combat Role, expanding PvP and cooperative options with new team synergies and tactical strategies. In PvP modes, Capture the Orb, Tournament, and Team Competition become richer with Commanders and their Companions, creating more dynamic and unpredictable battles.
The campaign is now semi‑open: players consult an adventure map and choose the next region instead of following a linear story. Each campaign cycle features three phases – City, Journey, and Quest – where you can buy items, rest, upgrade structures, tackle side quests, and prep the team for upcoming challenges. The Journey Phase includes preludes linking the region to the overarching narrative, letting players study what they’ll face and assign tasks to NPCs joining the crew.
During the Quest phase, the board assembles with dozens of villains, and the experience gains a dungeon‑crawl feel with random encounters, secret rooms, events, and critical decisions that alter the mission’s trajectory. Every choice impacts the epic finale’s conditions, determining which boss or bosses players will confront, culminating in multiple endings. The expansion keeps gameplay accessible while adding layers of strategy and narrative that will immerse fans in new epic adventures.
