About the game

What you do in a play session

Brace yourself for another dose of cosmic horror with "In the Clutches of Chaos," the fifth Mythos Pack in "The Circle Undone" cycle for Arkham Horror: The Card Game. The city of Arkham continues to sink into chaos following your last investigation, with rifts in reality tearing open and an eerie melody echoing through the streets. While citizens hide, you and your fellow investigators must patrol and find a way to stop the impending disaster. The major twist here is that "doom" doesn't accumulate in the usual way. Instead, danger arises in the form of breaches appearing at various locations, marked by tokens. When too many breaches concentrate at one point, an "incursion" occurs, spreading even more chaos and adding "doom." Your mission is to prevent these incursions by removing the breaches, which requires using the action abilities of each location. If the situation gets out of control, Arkham will plunge into total madness. This pack introduces new challenges and twists to your campaign, demanding that you manage your resources and actions precisely to avoid being swallowed by the chaos. It's an expansion that intensifies the tension and the need for cooperation to survive the unfolding threats.
