About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for an extra dose of dread in Arkham! The 'King in Yellow' expansion for Arkham Horror is not for the faint of heart. It injects a new and sinister mechanic called Heralds, who are like harbingers of doom, paving the way for the arrival of an even more terrifying Ancient One. And don't think you'll only face unknown monsters; familiar faces from Arkham might turn against you, driven mad by the King in Yellow's influence. With over 160 new cards, this expansion brings brand-new items, powerful spells, and events that will make the city even darker and more dangerous. There are 13 Blight cards representing the city's decay, 7 Magical Effect cards to give you a boost (or despair!), and 3 new monster tokens that are pure nightmare fuel. If you already enjoy the vibe of Arkham Horror and want an even bigger and more immersive challenge, with new ways to terrorize your investigators, this expansion is your perfect match. Just remember that it requires the base game and, hey, the language dependency is high, so brush up on your English or prepare your translation skills!
