Ascension: Realms Unraveled brings the classic deck‑building formula into a fantasy setting where the goal is to rack up Victory Points (VPs) by defeating creatures and collecting powerful cards. Each game starts with a shared pool of cards; players draw from this pool, add cards to their discard pile, and when the deck runs out the discard is shuffled to form a new deck. The Open Drafting mechanic lets everyone pick cards in turn, creating competition for the most desirable pieces. The game also introduces the Multi‑Unite system: when you field heroes from the same faction you unlock powerful bonuses that can swing the game in your favor. The Transform mechanic, carried over from Ascension: Darkness Unleashed, lets you upgrade cards to stronger versions as the game progresses. Each hero has unique abilities, and by blending hand‑management and deck‑building strategies you must decide when to play cards, when to battle creatures, and when to trade cards from the pool. The game ends when all available VPs have been claimed or the shared deck runs out. Ascension: Realms Unraveled works as a standalone title for 2‑4 players but can also be combined with other Ascension releases to support up to six players. For fans of fast‑paced card games, tactical decisions, and the thrill of collecting cards, this title offers hours of replayability. If you’re already familiar with the Ascension series or are looking for a deck‑builder that blends tactical challenges with the excitement of card collection, this game deserves a spot on your board‑game shelf.
