About the game

What you do in a play session

In a magically altered 17th‑century setting, the Italian lands that survived the Witchplague become Ausonia, a realm ruled by powerful houses vying for control of city‑states. Each player takes on the role of a family leader, using supporters and mystical gems to amass influence. The goal is simple: finish the game with the most influence. You start with a basic house deck and upgrade it in the market by buying stronger cards and combining them with the gems you collect. Gems act as the game’s resource fuel, allowing you to craft combos and accelerate your progress. The game offers a challenging solo mode where you face your own strategy, and two expansions are already available to enrich the experience. Deck, bag, and pool building, coupled with hand management, give you full control over the game flow, letting you turn seemingly weak cards into turning points. Ausonia blends quick play—about 30 minutes per session—with deep strategy, making it ideal for 1 to 4 players who enjoy politics, cards, and a splash of Renaissance fantasy.
