About the game
What you do in a play session
The 'Revenge of the Old Ones' expansion completely shifts the base game's dynamics by introducing a brand new role: the master of terror. Now, one of the players takes full control of the Old Ones' forces. Instead of dealing with random events, the Old One player strategically plans where to deploy hordes of zombies, Mi-go, and Shoggoths to cause maximum havoc.
If you love the feeling of being the 'villain', this expansion is for you. You can summon terrifying entities from the void, such as the deceitful Nyarlathotep or the relentless Hounds of Tindalos, to ensure the colonists find no peace. Beyond adding this layer of active antagonism, the expansion increases the player count up to five, making the experience much more social and conflict-driven. It's the perfect blend of economic management, map exploration, and cosmic horror, where human survival depends on how well they can resist the will of a player who wants to see them fail miserably.
