About the game

What you do in a play session

Battle Zone is a 15‑minute tactical duel where two commanders control colored pieces on a modular battlefield. Each round starts with a dice roll that determines which colors you may activate. Once activated, a piece can be placed on your home row, upgraded, moved, stood up from a lying position, or downgraded – the latter triggering area effects. You may also capture an opponent's standing piece and bring it under your control. When a piece crosses the opponent's home line and leaves the board, it is removed from play and counts as a victory point. The goal is to be the first player to have a piece of each color cross the enemy territory. The kit contains 38 plastic components that let you build structures such as the STC Hab‑bunker and Stockades, providing cover and positional options. Terrain pieces are modular, allowing you to create long walls, closed forts, or creative combos, boosting replay value. Core mechanics are Point‑to‑Point Movement and Variable Player Powers, ensuring distinct strategic choices each game. Though set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the game plays as a pure abstract with no heavy rules or card reading. Perfect for fans of quick, head‑to‑head clashes who also enjoy assembling their own battlefield.
