About the game
Ever had one of those games that turns a casual bar chat or a road trip into a bizarre police interrogation? That's exactly what Black Stories is. Forget complex boards or 50-page manuals; here, the game is the stories—and they are quite sinister. The deck features 50 riddles mixing crimes, suicides, and absurd accidents. One player takes on the role of the Master, who knows the full solution, while the others are detectives trying to figure out what on earth happened.

The dynamic is simple and addictive: the Master reads only the final sentence (the tragic outcome), and the group must reconstruct the sequence of events by asking questions that can only be answered with 'Yes', 'No', or 'Irrelevant'. It's a pure exercise in lateral thinking. You'll find yourself asking absurd things like 'Was the victim naked?' or 'Was it raining?', trying to connect dots that seem unrelated until, suddenly, the final piece fits, and the revelation brings a collective shock (or laugh).

The charm of the game lies in its versatility. Since no table is required, it's perfect for filling dead time at parties or during travels. Some stories are solved in two minutes, while others will leave the group debating for half an hour. It's a game that taps into curiosity and the darker side of our minds, blending horror and black humor in a lighthearted way. If you enjoy logic challenges and love seeing your friends rack their brains to solve a narrative puzzle, this is the right choice. Just be warned: once you start uncovering these crimes, it's hard to stop!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a table to play?
Nope! That's the best part. You can play in the car, on the couch, or standing up at a party.
How many people can play?
From 2 up to practically anyone. The more people, the more crazy theories emerge!
Is it hard to learn?
Not at all. The rule is basically: ask 'yes or no' questions until you uncover the story.
Is the game too heavy or scary?
It features black humor and themes of crime/death, but it's handled in a playful way. It's not a psychological horror game, but a mystery game.
Can it be played multiple times?
Each individual story cannot, as once you know the answer, the mystery is gone. However, with 50 cards, you have plenty of fun before exhausting the deck.
