About the game
What you do in a play session
Black Stories Junior: Golden Stories offers 50 riddles packed with knights, mighty kings, spooky castles, Incan treasures and legends like the Holy Grail. Each card presents an unfinished historical‑fantasy scenario; players must rebuild the full story using only yes‑or‑no questions. One player becomes the "detective" and, each round, selects a card and reads the partial description. The others, as investigators, interrogate the story master to piece together the clues: "Was the culprit a man?", "Was the object inside the castle?". Answers are strictly binary, forcing the group to think strategically and eliminate possibilities quickly. The game has no board or complex tokens – just a deck of cards and a lot of imagination. A typical round lasts between two and fifteen minutes, depending on how deep the group wants to go, and can accommodate two to fifteen participants, making it perfect for parties, family gatherings or classroom sessions. The storytelling mechanic combined with deduction keeps the atmosphere light and full of laughs, as the scenarios are often exaggerated and humorous. While the rules are straightforward, attention is required: vague questions can drag the game, and players who dislike constant questioning might find it tiring. The card artwork is colorful and thematic, transporting players to different eras and cultures, from Ancient Rome to Incan jungles. As a member of the Black Stories family, it retains the mystery spirit but with kid‑friendly themes, avoiding scary content. In short, Golden Stories delivers a quick, educational, and fun party experience, ideal for exercising creativity and logical reasoning without hassle.
