Blood Rage: 5th Player Expansion

The Blood Rage 5th Player Expansion brings the fearsome Ram clan into the fray for the nine realms. Inside you’ll find eight warrior miniatures in two different sculpts, a leader figure, a ship, the clan sheet, a plastic glory marker, four cardboard clan tokens, eleven small colored bases and two large colored bases – enough to flood your table with Viking miniatures. The headline feature is the ability to play with five people; the board is already set up to support this by simply not destroying any province at the start, avoiding an early Ragnarok. Because more players need more cards, the box adds 24 "Gods' Gifts" cards (eight per Age), all marked with the "5+ players" prerequisite. Most are extra copies of base‑game cards, but there are new ones like the "Widespread!" quest, which requires you to dominate any two provinces of your choice. Core mechanics – Area Majority/Influence and Open Drafting – stay unchanged, so the tension of territorial control and strategic drafting remains as fierce as ever. With a BGG weight of 2.7 the rules are easy to pick up yet still offer depth for veterans. If you love brutal combat, Viking tribes, and the race for glory, this expansion simply adds more seats at the table and more chances to fight for honor. Keep in mind you still need the Blood Rage base game, and you may need a translated card sheet if you don’t read English.
