About the game
What you do in a play session
In Cake Duel, you and your fellow pastry chef assistants are locked in a fierce competition to see who gets credit for the city's most amazing cakes. While the order is to work as a team, ambition speaks louder, and sabotage is the secret ingredient of the competition! The main objective is to accumulate the most merit points, showing who is the true master of pastry (or trickery).

Each round, players play an ingredient card, replenishing their hand to always have three cards. These cards are added to one of the cake columns on the table, forming an ingredient 'recipe'. When all necessary ingredients for a cake are placed, the player claims it for their personal area. But beware: if you add extra or incorrect ingredients, the cake is 'rotated' (180°), and even if it still earns points, it will be much less than a perfect cake.

Ingredient cards aren't just for filling recipes; they come with special abilities that are activated when played, as long as the ingredient column doesn't exceed the recipe limit. These abilities are a showstopper: you can rotate cakes to sabotage (or fix!) others' scores, draw more cards, swap cakes with opponents, or even get wild card ingredients, adding a delicious strategic layer to the game. The game ends when the cake supply runs out or when the ingredient deck is depleted twice (or once in 2-player games), revealing who the true supreme chef is!
