About the game
What you do in a play session
In Castle, the renowned Bruno Faidutti takes us back to a medieval setting, but this time in a card game that's pure charm and strategy. Players receive a set of square cards, and the objective is simple: be the first to get rid of all of them by placing them on a board that represents a castle, complete with a courtyard, battlements, towers, and even an outer area. Each card, when played in one of the four specific castle regions, usually triggers a unique special action. These actions can be quite varied, from manipulating the position of other cards already in the castle, causing cards to return to opponents' hands, or even changing the ownership of certain cards. The game was awarded at the Concours International de Créateurs de Jeux de Société in 2000, which already gives an idea of its quality. It's a race to empty your hand, and with each play, the castle's dynamic changes, requiring you to adapt your strategy. Get ready for a quick and fun challenge, where hand management and strategic tile placement are the keys to victory.
