Chain Mail: Tangles and Teeth – Adventure Kit is the expansion that puts the Spider Queen’s web at the heart of the action. If you’ve enjoyed Earthshine’s settings, you’ll love the new quest that introduces Remont, the Mushketeer, and a Wildfire map full of challenges. The goal is simple: reach the center of the web, defeat the Queen, and find the Resurrection Stone. But don’t think it’ll be easy – the web is treacherous, the monsters – like basilisk and snakes – are fierce, and dice rolls will test your luck at every turn. The game runs for 45 minutes, supports 1 to 4 players, and can be played cooperatively or solo. You’ll need a translated spreadsheet or cards, but the grid movement, dice rolling, and modular board make it all worthwhile. The production quality is solid, with sturdy components and a layout that feels like an adventure map. If you love getting lost in fantasy settings, battling monsters and webs, this kit will have you glued to the table. Just be aware of the translation requirement and the fact that the average playtime may stretch a bit if you’re playing solo.
