About the game
What you do in a play session
Chopper Strike puts you and your opponent in charge of two fleets: nimble helicopters soaring on an elevated board and armored jeeps equipped with anti‑air guns staying on the ground. Each turn starts with a dice roll: a d3 tells you how many pieces you may move and a d6 shows how far each can travel. The board is modular and laid out as a 12 × 12 square grid, with an upper level for the air and a lower level for terrain, creating a three‑dimensional battlefield where altitude strategy matters.
Helicopters capture other helicopters by jumping over them like in checkers and can bomb jeeps simply by stopping directly above them. Jeeps eliminate ground opponents by landing on them and can shoot down helicopters by positioning themselves right below, using their AA gun. Terrain obstacles along the board’s edges hinder jeep movement, demanding careful route planning.
Victory is achieved by wiping out all enemy helicopters or all enemy jeeps, giving two distinct paths to win. With a light weight (1.5/5) the game lasts about 45 minutes, ideal for a quick tactical duel. While the rules are straightforward, the mix of dice rolling, grid movement, and static capture provides enough strategic depth to keep seasoned players engaged, especially fans of modern warfare and miniatures. If you enjoy asymmetric clashes, altitude control, and games that resolve in a handful of turns, Chopper Strike remains a timeless choice.
