About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to expand your empire in Civilization: A New Dawn with the Automatic Civilization expansion! This neat addition introduces an automated player (the AP) that acts as a game-controlled opponent, perfect for solo play or for those seeking an extra challenge in games with friends. The AP uses components from an inactive player and a simplified focus bar, inspired by the video games in the series, to dictate its actions. On its turn, it resolves the focus card in the '5' slot and resets it to the '1' slot, following pre-defined instructions to minimize your need to make decisions for it. The AP's unique focus cards are specifically designed to prevent you from feeling like you're 'playing for the AP'. But don't be fooled, it's not just for solo mode! In games with up to three human players, the AP enters the scene as an additional competitor. Will you try to manipulate the AP to your advantage, perhaps turning it against your human rivals, or will you team up with the others to carve up its territory? The choice is yours, and the strategic possibilities multiply. This Print & Play expansion adds an extra layer of complexity and replayability, maintaining the core civilization-building essence we love.
