About the game
What you do in a play session
Ever wondered what it's like to rule Gotham City while trying to stay off the radar of the world's greatest detective? In Cluedo: Batman Edition, you step out of the investigator's shoes to play as DC's most iconic villains. Choose from the likes of the Joker, Bane, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, The Riddler, or Harley Quinn and prepare for an urban war. Unlike the traditional Cluedo, the focus here is on territory conquest and executing criminal schemes.
Each villain comes with their own Criminal Plan, consisting of specific missions. You might need to seize strategic districts or achieve precise dice results. As you complete these objectives, you unlock special powers that provide a crucial edge over your opponents. The battle for Gotham's neighborhoods uses a dice-rolling mechanic reminiscent of RisiKo, making the conflict intense and unpredictable.
But beware: Batman isn't just watching. The Dark Knight leaps into action whenever five '1s' are rolled during a turn. When that happens, he clears territories and wreaks havoc on the villains' plans. It's that high-tension moment where you hope you're not the one the hero is targeting. To win, you can either conquer the entire city or complete one of three common objectives. There's also a strategic twist: by definitively defeating another criminal empire, you can eliminate one of the victory conditions, shifting the game's dynamic. It's a game of risk, luck, and cunning, perfect for those who want to feel the thrill of being the crime boss of Gotham.
