About the game
What you do in a play session
Colority turns the classic deck into a stage for betting and bluffing, delivering a game experience that blends logic, perception, and psychology. The deck consists of the four traditional suits—hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades—but with a twist: each card’s back displays two suits, one of which matches the suit shown on the front. The cards are shuffled and laid out in four rows, all face down, creating a setting where information is scarce and every move counts.
During play, players take turns attempting to predict which suits will dominate each row. To do this, each participant can bet on one or more suits, on how many predictions they think they will get right, flip a card to reveal information to everyone, or even secretly peek at a card. Each action consumes a token; when a player runs out of tokens, they are out of the game. When all players have exhausted their tokens, the cards are revealed and points are tallied based on correct predictions. The game lasts about 15 minutes, making it ideal for quick sessions, and works with 2 to 4 players.
Colority is perfect for those who enjoy fast deduction games, where psychological tension and the strategy of when to bet or observe make all the difference. The bluffing mechanic adds an element of unpredictability, as players must decide whether to reveal information or keep the mystery. The simplicity of the components—just a deck of cards and tokens—makes it easy to set up and break down, making it a great game to bring on trips or play at casual gatherings. Additionally, the game encourages reading opponents, as each move can give clues about others’ intentions. Tokens act as a limited resource that forces players to choose between betting with confidence or observing in silence. The act of flipping cards creates reveal moments that can completely shift the game’s direction. Colority also serves as an excellent exercise in emotional control; those who can keep calm under pressure tend to win.
