About the game
Get ready for a card battle in Confrontation, a game that, despite using standard decks, proposes a strategic team-based showdown. Each player receives 13 cards, with the rest discarded unseen. The goal is to team up with your partner, sitting opposite you, and together form sets of cards with the same number or suit. You play a card into your team's area, either creating a new set or adding to an existing one. Sets can be cards of the same number or cards of the same suit. If a set is ambiguous (e.g., a single card), it doesn't need to be declared immediately. Once a set is unambiguous, it's moved to the imaginary 'confrontation line' between the two teams' areas. A team cannot have more than one of each kind of set. When all cards have been played, any ambiguous sets are discarded. The remaining sets are compared: the team with more cards in a set of a given type scores points for that type. Number sets are worth their printed value, and suit sets are worth ten points. It's a quick game that tests your ability to read your partner's hand and anticipate opponents' moves, all with the simplicity of a standard deck of cards.
