Cryptrick is a card game for 3 to 5 players that blends bidding and trick‑taking into a fast‑paced experience. The goal is to amass the highest total value of cards by the end of six rounds, but strategy goes far beyond simply winning tricks: players must decide when to bid, who should hold the most valuable cards, and how to use the trump suit to swing the outcome. Each game starts with a unique deck that contains cards of varying values and a special trump symbol. At the beginning of every round, players perform a secret auction: each passes a card they wish to buy or sell. The highest bid wins the card and can choose who receives it. After the auction, the cards are dealt and the trick‑taking phase begins. Players must follow suit if possible, and the trump suit beats any other. The player who wins the trick collects the cards and earns points based on the value of the cards used. After six tricks, the game ends and each player tallies the value of their cards. What makes Cryptrick stand out is the combination of bidding and trick‑taking, forcing players to balance risk and reward in real time. The cryptocurrency theme adds a futuristic flair, with neon‑colored cards and blockchain motifs. The bidding mechanic injects a layer of negotiation reminiscent of digital asset markets, while the trick‑taking keeps the tension alive as to who will win each round. The game is short, with playtimes of 15 to 30 minutes, and works well with groups of 3 to 5 people. If you enjoy games that require quick decision‑making, bargaining, and a dash of luck, Cryptrick could be the next title for your table.
