About the game
Get ready for the ultimate showdown in Cthulhu: Death May Die – R'lyeh Rising, the expansion that delivers on its promise with a colossal miniature of Cthulhu himself! This gigantic piece, standing 57 cm tall with a 44x44 cm base, isn't just an impressive component; it becomes the game board itself. Sculpted with terrifying detail and arriving pre-assembled (except for the clip-on wings), it's a work of art that will steal the show on your table.

R'lyeh Rising is a wholly unique episode and the grand finale for Death May Die. It not only adds new tokens, Discovery cards, Monster cards, and Mythos cards, but also drastically overhauls the game's basic rules. The action unfolds directly on Cthulhu's rocky base, with investigators moving freely across the terrain with the aid of a movement ruler. The premise is clear: the ritual is already complete, and Cthulhu's appearance is imminent. The world is doomed, but there's one last, desperate chance! Investigators travel to the realms of R'lyeh to attempt to destroy Cthulhu while he is still in transit between worlds.

In this epic confrontation, players must defeat Cthulhu one stage at a time, like a regular Elder One fight, but with a crucial twist: only one area of the Elder One can be attacked at a time. The expansion also introduces a new Mythos deck, packed with additional monster summoning and terrifying events generated by Cthulhu's overwhelming presence. The mission is clear: stop Cthulhu before he enters our world!
