Get ready for total annihilation with the Shaggai Map expansion for Cthulhu Wars! This beauty takes us to the home planet of the Insects of Shaggai, but don't expect a tropical paradise. The planet is in the midst of destruction by the Worms of Ghroth, horrendous creatures that leave a trail of oblivion in their wake. The map, with its hexagonal design reminiscent of the planet's insectoid nature, is a battlefield in constant ruin. Right from the start, a Worm of Ghroth appears, heralding disaster. As the game progresses, these worms devastate the areas they occupy, but here's a twist: destruction generates power! When one of your gates is annihilated, you gain an Elder Sign, and each unit lost in combat grants you one power point. Of course, losing a giant monster stings, but at least you have a chance to recover before the end arrives. Speaking of the end, if the planet deteriorates too much, the game can end prematurely, with victory decided by whoever accumulates the most Doom points and Elder Signs. Also, pay attention: you can even 'jump over' destroyed areas to move faster across the map, but this costs a unit. Think carefully about who to sacrifice to the hungry void! This expansion brings a unique dynamic where destruction is part of the strategy, and chaos becomes your ally. It's Cthulhu Wars with a touch of imminent and rewarding apocalypse!
