About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready to add an extra dose of cosmic weirdness to your Cthulhu Wars with the Tcho-Tcho expansion! These folks are different: a human tribe that, despite being ethically questionable, is physically advanced and loves to meddle with other players by worshipping their Great Old Ones. Unlike most, their own Great Old One, Ubbo-Sathla, is more of a tool than an object of worship. What really stands out about the Tcho-Tchos is their access to THREE high priests! This not only speeds up your game but comes with two spellbooks focused on them, "Hierophants" and "Martyrdom," which provide an extra boost. They also have a peculiar way of interacting with other players, using "Tablet of the Gods" and "Idolatry" to leech off others' resources and "Soulless" to make their cultists less appealing to capture. Defensively, they can be a bit fragile at first, but who wants to attack an area full of high priests, right? If the enemy sends only "riff-raff," your Proto-Shoggoths (especially with the "Terror" spell) can handle them. The big advantage is that you spend zero power on your Great Old One at the start, freeing up a ton of points to build gates, capture areas, or even send cultists to harass opponents. It's an expansion that brings a unique and strategic flavor for those who already master the base game.
